I design with the systems I build.

I am restless and calm at once. Restless because I go after new knowledge; calm because I like to listen, I am often the quiet one in the room, and I decide on facts and data. I studied and practised law, and left because what always moved me was making things. I went into design to learn the process, then into programming for the same reason. A generalist by conviction.

Ten years across research, product design and design ops. Today I lead design at a Brazilian credit fintech, three designers after having led nine, where I redesigned how the team operates around AI and personally built the platform that made it possible: machine-readable design system contracts, guard-railed prototyping open to people who are not designers, automated design system review on every pull request, and four Figma plugins in production.

I have been building this thesis since 2023, when generative AI was barely reaching interface work and I was already building AI tools for the product process. My first production AI work was in 2019, with chatbots for Serasa, XP Investimentos and Fox. That tooling was registered at Brazil's IP office in 2024. AI did not change my direction. It gave me a way to execute it.

Along the way there was IBM, and the Apple Developer Academy, where Libre, a book-swapping app, was featured on the Brazilian App Store and took me to WWDC on a scholarship. Then a research lead role, where a usability protocol I implemented cut issues by 40%.

I also teach. "UX e tecnologia" is a free 46-chapter course on the technology designers need in the AI era, and hefesto is an open marketplace of six Claude Code plugins I build and operate.
